Toxic Substances Control 6h and Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl substances declaration PFASs

This document certifies that components/s of parts manufactured by Custom Thermoelectric do not intentionally add or contain any of the bio accumulative and toxic (PBT) chemicals reported under the TSCA Inventory Notification (Active-Inactive) and Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances declaration PFASs

On January 6, 2021, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued final rules under Section 6(h) of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) for five persistent, bio accumulative and toxic (PBT) chemicals:

         2,4,6-tris(tert-butyl)phenol (2,4,6-TTBP) CASRN:732-26-3

         Decabromodiphenyl ether (decaBDE) CASRN:1163-19-5

         Hexachlorobutadiene (HCBD) CASRN:87-68-3

         Pentachlorothiophenol (PCTP) CASRN:133-49-3

         PIP (3: 1) Tris phosphate (isopropylphenyl) 68937-41-7

Also, per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs), also perfluorinated alkylated substances are synthetic organo-fluorine chemical compounds that have multiple fluorine atoms attached to an alkyl chain. This group of chemicals contains thousands of substances. They are persistent in nature and can cause severe health risks including various types of cancer. PFOA and PFOS belong to PFAS sub group of perfluoro surfactants.

Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) is a perfluorinated carboxylic acid used as industrial surfactant in chemical processes and as a material feedstock, PFOA molecule contains both hydrophilic, hydrophobic and lipophobic groups.

Perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (PFOS) is a fluoro surfactant used earlier in numerous stain repellents. It was added to Annex B of the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants in May 2009.

Custom Thermoelectric does not use any of the above mentioned synthetic organ fluorine chemical compounds and bio accumulative and toxic chemicals as part or any of our components as raw material or product additive in any our Products.
